The interpretation of log data remains fundamental to accurate petroleum reservoir characterization. This course will enable geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, seismic interpreters and reservoir engineers acquire and update log data interpretation skills.
To give delegates the basic and advanced concepts of petrophysics.
*Introduction and Types of Rocks
*Properties of petroleum reservoir rocks, wettability, porosity, permeability, relative permeability, surface tension, formation factors, compressibility, SP, density, and strength resistivity.
*Concept of Isotropy and heterogenicity. Statistical methods of accounting for heterogenicity
*Properties of petroleum reservoir fluids (water, oil and gas)
